Chicken Supreme

Chicken Supreme is a tender, juicy chicken breast dish baked with a creamy mushroom sauce, resulting in a rich and velvety texture. The dish involves searing the chicken to lock in flavors, then baking it with the sauce until perfectly cooked and golden. The final appearance is a beautifully browned chicken topped with a luscious, mushroom-infused coating.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop a golden crust.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and turn golden, about 5 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic to the mushrooms and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine and scraping up any browned bits from the skillet. Let the sauce simmer gently for 2 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet, spooning some sauce over the top. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  • Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Serve the chicken topped with the creamy mushroom sauce, enjoying the rich, velvety texture and golden appearance.
