Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Peaches Fresh or frozen, sliced
  • 1 cup Sugar Depending on sweetness of peaches
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour For the topping
  • 1 cup Milk Whole or 2%
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder For leavening
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt To enhance flavors

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the peaches and toss them in a mixing bowl with sugar and lemon juice until well coated.
    4 cups Peaches, 1 cup Sugar, 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar in another bowl.
    1 cup Sugar, 1 cup All-Purpose Flour, 1 tablespoon Baking Powder, 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • Stir in the milk and melted butter until a smooth batter forms.
    1 cup Milk, 1/2 cup Butter
  • Pour the peach mixture into a greased skillet or baking dish, then pour the batter over the top evenly.
    4 cups Peaches, 1 cup All-Purpose Flour, 1/2 cup Butter
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Serve warm, optionally topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
