Ingredients
  

Latte

  • ½ cup strong hot coffee
  • cup whole milk
  • oz high-quality bittersweet chocolate such as Ghirardelli
  • oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 oz Irish Whiskey such as Jameson’s

Garnishing

  • additional chocolate shavings
  • whipped cream

Instructions
 

  • Finely grate the chocolate using a microplane and gently transfer the shavings to a bowl to avoid them becoming airborne.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the milk and coffee over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in the chocolate shavings until they melt into the mixture.
  • Add the powdered sugar, whiskey, and Baileys, and whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  • Pour the latte into mugs and top with whipped cream and additional chocolate shavings if desired.

Notes

  • Use freshly brewed strong coffee or espresso for the best flavor.
  • For extra creaminess, substitute half of the milk with heavy cream.
  • A handheld milk frother can make the texture extra luxurious.
