Ingredients
  

  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 tbp soy sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 pork tenderloin
  • ¾ cup red wine

Instructions
 

  • Place the pork tenderloin into a slow cooker and add the onion soup mix.
  • Pour water, wine, and soy sauce over the pork, ensuring it’s turned to coat evenly.
  • Gently spread minced garlic across the pork, concentrating as much as possible on the top.
  • Sprinkle black pepper generously over the pork.
  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  • Set the cooker to Low and let the pork cook for about 4 hours.
  • Use a meat thermometer to confirm the pork has reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the pork from the slow cooker.
  • Let the pork rest on a cutting board for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve the sliced pork with the cooking liquid as a delicious au jus.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the pork in soy sauce and wine for an hour before cooking.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce the cooking liquid on the stove and add a cornstarch slurry.
