Equipment

  • Blender
  • Shallow dish
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fruit juice (e.g., mango, berry, pineapple) preferably chilled
  • 1/2 cup vodka smooth, mid-range
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup or honey adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes crackling and fresh
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional) brightens flavors
  • fresh fruit for garnish citrus slices or berries
  • few leaves mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Gather all your ingredients and equipment. Chill your fruit juice and prepare your fresh fruit for garnishing.
  • Add the fruit juice, vodka, and sweetener into your blender. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and bright in color, with no visible chunks.
  • Pour the blended mixture into a shallow dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
  • Place the dish in the freezer and freeze for about 2 hours, stirring vigorously every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals and promote a creamy texture.
  • Once the mixture is frozen to a slushy consistency, use a spoon or scoop to serve. The texture should be scoopable and icy but not rock-hard.
  • Garnish each glass with fresh fruit slices and a sprig of mint for a colorful, fragrant touch.
  • Enjoy immediately with a straw or spoon. Sip the cool, fruity vodka slushie on a warm day or during a festive gathering.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and fruit juice based on your preference and the tartness of your fruit. Stir more frequently during freezing if ice crystals are large. Let the mixture sit at room temperature for a few minutes if it's too hard to scoop.
