Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups fruit juice freshly squeezed or good quality store-bought
  • 1 cup fruit fresh or frozen berries, mango, or peaches
  • 0.5 cup vodka smooth, neutral preferred
  • 2 tablespoons sweetener simple syrup, honey, or agave
  • 2-3 cups crushed ice more for thicker texture

Instructions

  • Pour the fruit juice into the blender, followed by the fresh or frozen fruit, and add the vodka and sweetener.
  • Add the crushed ice on top of the liquid ingredients, aiming for about 2 to 3 cups depending on desired thickness.
  • Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high for 30 to 40 seconds, until the mixture is thick, icy, and slightly frosty around the edges.
  • Stop the blender and check the texture—if it’s too icy, blend a few seconds longer; if too runny, add a bit more crushed ice and blend again.
  • Once the mixture is scoopable and has a smooth, slushy consistency, pour it into chilled glasses.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit, a sprig of mint, or a twist of citrus for added visual appeal and aroma.
  • Serve immediately with a straw for sipping and enjoy the icy, flavorful refreshment.

Notes

For a more intense flavor, freeze the mixture in a shallow container for 15 minutes before serving. Feel free to switch up the fruit and adjust the sweetness to match your taste. Serving in chilled glasses helps keep the slushie frosty longer.
