Equipment

  • Mixing bowl (for strawberries)
  • Mixing bowl (for whipping cream)
  • Hand mixer (or whisk)
  • Knife
  • Chopping board
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula or spoon
  • Serving glasses or bowls

Ingredients

  • 6 medium sized strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon lemon juice optional
  • 1 cup fresh cream / whipped cream

Instructions

  • First, rinse the strawberries thoroughly, remove their leaves, and chop them roughly.
  • Place them in a bowl, sprinkle sugar over them, add lemon juice, and mix well.
  • Set aside in a plastic in bowl for 10 minutes to let the strawberries release their juices.
  • Meanwhile, take cold fresh cream straight from the fridge and whisk it in a separate mixing bowl until it becomes thick with soft peaks—this can be done using a hand mixer.
  • Once the cream is whipped, fold in the juicy strawberries gently, reserving a spoonful of the fruit for garnish.
  • Be careful not to overmix.
  • Spoon this mixture into serving glasses, top with the reserved strawberries, and chill until ready to serve.
  • Enjoy your Strawberry Fool cold.

Notes

  • Cold cream whips faster and yields better texture, so always chill it beforehand.
  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best natural flavor—taste before adding sugar.
