  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Baking sheet
  • Oven
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • ½ lb cooked shrimp plus more for garnish if you want to be fancy
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup three-Rinse cheese Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ bunch dill, fresh or frozen
  • ½ bunch parsley

Instructions

  • Rinse the cooked shrimp, pat them dry, peel, and coarsely chop into small pieces before transferring them to a medium bowl.
  • Finely chop the parsley and dill, mince the garlic, and add them to the bowl.
  • Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheese and ½ cup of mayo until well combined.
  • Slice the bread into ½-inch pieces and generously spread the shrimp mixture over each slice.
  • Arrange the prepared slices on a baking sheet and bake at 350˚F for 8-10 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the shrimp to sizzle slightly.
  • If desired, top with a sautéed shrimp for extra flavor and presentation.

Notes

  • For a crispier texture, lightly toast the bread before adding the shrimp mixture.
  • Use a mix of cheeses like cheddar and mozzarella for added depth of flavor.
  • Swap mayo with cream cheese for a richer, thicker spread.
  • Garnish with lemon zest or a dash of smoked paprika for a zesty kick.
