Equipment

  • Blender
  • Knife & cutting board

Ingredients

  • 3 cups ripe peaches peeled and pitted
  • 1.5 cups ice cubes preferably cold
  • 1 tbsp honey or simple syrup
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice about half a lemon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract a whisper of warmth
  • optional fresh mint leaves for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Peel and pit your peaches, then chop them into small chunks roughly the size of a golf ball to help them blend smoothly.
  • Add the chopped peaches, ice cubes, honey, lemon juice, and vanilla extract into your blender. Ensure the ice is cold for a frosty finish.
  • Blend on high for about 30-40 seconds until the mixture is smooth, slightly frosty, and jiggles when shaken. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  • Check the texture; if it’s too thick, splash in a little cold water or extra lemon juice and pulse briefly. If it’s too runny, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.
  • For a chunkier texture, pulse a few times instead of blending continuously. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as needed by adding more honey or lemon.
  • Pour the peach slushie into chilled glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a slice of peach if desired.
  • Let the slushie sit for 2 minutes to thicken slightly before serving, allowing the icy crystals to settle for a better texture. Serve immediately and enjoy the bright, juicy flavor.

Notes

Make sure to use ripe peaches for the best flavor and smooth texture. Adjust the amount of ice for your preferred consistency—less for thicker, more for slushier. Fresh lemon juice brightens the flavor, so don’t skip it.
