Ingredients
  

  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp Kosher salt
  • 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, about 1 pound
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil, or olive oil
  • pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Mix the seasonings in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board or plate, and use a basting brush to coat both sides evenly with oil.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
  • Arrange the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Use an instant-read thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 155°F to 160°F (68°C to 71°C) at the thickest part of the chicken.
  • Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5–10 minutes to allow carryover cooking to bring the internal temperature to 165°F (74°C).
  • To make chicken cutlets, slice each chicken breast horizontally in half to create thinner pieces.
  • Coat each piece with oil and season both sides evenly.
  • Place the chicken cutlets in the air fryer basket and cook at 370°F (190°C) for 10–15 minutes, flipping at the 4-minute mark.
  • Check for doneness after 8 minutes using an instant-read thermometer, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 155°F to 160°F (68°C to 71°C).
  • Allow the chicken to rest for 5–10 minutes before serving, ensuring it reaches the safe temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve the juicy chicken and garnish it with freshly chopped cilantro.

Notes

  • For even cooking, slice chicken breasts into cutlets by laying a hand flat on top of the breast and slicing horizontally with a sharp knife.
