Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh spinach or kale washed and stems removed
  • 1 frozen banana frozen banana peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup almond milk or coconut water light and slightly sweet
  • 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup optional, for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds or hemp hearts optional, for added fiber
  • a few fresh mint or basil leaves fresh herbs optional, for a herbal lift

Instructions
 

  • Place the greens, frozen banana, and liquid into your blender, ensuring everything is evenly distributed for smooth blending.
  • Secure the lid and start blending on low speed, gradually increasing to high until the mixture is silky and smooth, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Open the lid and taste the smoothie. If desired, add a drizzle of honey or a squeeze of lemon to brighten and sweeten, then blend again for a few seconds.
  • If using, add the chia seeds or hemp hearts and fresh herbs, then blend briefly to incorporate and distribute evenly.
  • Once the mixture is creamy, bright green, and just thick enough to sip, turn off the blender and give it a gentle stir with a spatula if needed.
  • Pour the smoothie into a glass or reusable cup, then serve immediately to enjoy its fresh, crisp flavor and vibrant color.
