Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed rotisserie or leftover
  • 2 medium apples firm and sweet, such as Fuji or Honeycrisp
  • 1 tablespoon butter for caramelizing apples
  • 1 teaspoon fresh sage chopped
  • 1 cup cream soup such as cream of mushroom
  • 1 pack puff pastry sheet thawed if frozen
  • 1 egg egg beaten, for egg wash
  • to taste salt and pepper for seasoning

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel and core the apples, then slice them into thin wedges. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, add the apple slices, and cook until they are golden and caramelized, about 8 minutes. Stir in the chopped sage and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken and the cream soup, stirring well to create a creamy filling. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

  • Roll out the puff pastry sheet slightly to fit your baking dish. Place the chicken mixture evenly in the baking dish, spreading it out into an even layer. Arrange the caramelized apple slices over the top of the chicken mixture.
