Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 bottle barbeque sauce
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup distilled white vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes until the sugar dissolves.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 4 to 6 hours.
  • After cooking, remove the chicken from the slow cooker.
  • Shred the chicken using two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce.
  • Serve the BBQ chicken and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more red pepper flakes.
  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier result.
