Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen cherries preferably frozen for a smoother texture
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice brightens the flavor
  • ½ cup water or club soda adds to the slushie consistency
  • 1 cup ice cubes for thickening and chilling
  • optional vodka or cherry liqueur for an adult twist

Instructions

  • Measure out two cups of frozen cherries and place them into your blender. If they aren’t pre-frozen, freeze them for at least two hours for best results.
  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the blender. These ingredients will enhance the sweetness and brighten the flavor.
  • Pour in half a cup of water or club soda, depending on whether you want a still or bubbly slushie. This liquid helps the ingredients blend smoothly.
  • Toss in a cup of ice cubes to create that thick, icy texture. If you’re making an adult version, you can also add a splash of vodka or cherry liqueur now.
  • Secure the lid on the blender and blend everything on high for about 30 seconds. You should hear it whirring loudly, and the mixture will turn a vibrant red with a frosty, slushy consistency.
  • Check the texture—if it’s too thick, splash in a little more water or soda and blend briefly. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again until thick and scoopable.
  • Pour the icy mixture into chilled glasses immediately, so it retains that perfect frosty texture. Garnish with a cherry or lemon wedge if desired for a pretty presentation.
  • Serve right away with a straw or spoon, enjoying the refreshing, tangy, icy goodness that’s perfect for hot summer afternoons.
