Equipment

  • Blender
  • Shallow dish
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup sugar or honey/agave syrup
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup cold water

Instructions

  • Place the blueberries and sugar into the blender. Blend for about 30 seconds until the mixture is thick and vibrant blue, with no large berry chunks remaining.
  • Add the lemon juice and cold water to the blender. Blend again for 15-20 seconds until everything is well combined and the mixture is smooth and slightly frothy.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and spread it out evenly with a spatula. Place it in the freezer for about 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals and keep the texture consistent.
  • After freezing and stirring, the mixture will be firm but scoopable. Break it into chunks and briefly blend again to create a fluffy, slushy texture.
  • Scoop the blue raspberry slushie into chilled glasses. Garnish with fresh blueberries, lemon wedges, or a sprig of mint for a colorful finish. Serve immediately and enjoy the bright, tangy chill!
